What You Will Be Doing
* Setting up, monitoring, and assessing on-farm and strip trials
* Assisting with tractor and harvester operations when required
* Conducting crop phenotyping using handheld and drone-based methods
* Carrying out greenhouse gas measurements and helping develop protocols
* Completing soil health assessments and coordinating sample testing
* Preparing trial data for analysis and supporting trial report collation
* Maintaining field and research equipment, ensuring SOPs are up to date
* Working closely with research, crop production, and field teams to deliver high-quality assessments and data
This role involves regular travel and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
What You Need
* A strong understanding of UK agriculture
* Full UK driving licence
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
* Willingness to undertake physical, hands‑on work in the field
Desirable
* A degree in a relevant scientific discipline
* Experience operating farm machinery, particularly with precision guidance systems
