Job Description
The Health and Safety Manager will:
3. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
5. Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
6. Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventative measures.
7. Ensure all construction activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
8. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into project planning.
9. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, and incident reports.
10. Work closely with external regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.
11. Be based out of the Walsall office and travel nationally to projects as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Health and Safety Manager should have:
12. A recognised qualification in health and safety or a related field (NEBOSH)
13. Proven experience in health and safety management within the building and construction sector.
14. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
15. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
16. Ability to lead and influence teams to prioritise safety.
17. Competence in preparing comprehensive reports and maintaining accurate records.
18. Full UK driving licence (required).
19. NEBOSH Construction (desirable).
20. TechIOSH (desirable).
