We have partnered with a Tier 1 Contractor on a strategic project near Portsmouth. They are involved in all aspects of the project, including Earthworks, Civils/Structural Steel/Architecture, MEP, HVAC, and Fitout.
This is a multi-year project for a prestigious UK manufacturing company that has invested over £350 million into developing their site.
Responsibilities:
1. Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, building codes, and government regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes.
2. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to prevent defects. Conduct inspections and audits to ensure standards are met.
3. Quality Control and Documentation: Support the creation of quality control measures, including Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Sign-Off, and Quality Hold Points. Oversee inspection processes.
4. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve construction processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Supplier and Contractor Quality Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure material and workmanship quality. Review and approve quality plans.
6. Training and Awareness: Develop training programs to promote quality standards among project teams and contractors.
7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience on major civils and construction projects, especially within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, shed building, or highways sectors.
2. Lead Auditor Qualifications for ISO 9001; internal auditor for ISO 14001 and 45001 preferred.
3. Practitioner member of the CQI, with a willingness to achieve MCQI CQP.
4. Experience working directly with client Construction Assurance teams.
5. Willing to work 5 days a week on site.
