The Role You'll be the architect behind our high-performance backend, ensuring our platform can handle the scale and pace of live sports and entertainment. Key Responsibilities Platform Engineering Architecture Lead development on our core, high-impact Java-based backend platform. Build and architect a robust platform that underpins Dizplai’s interactive experiences. Maintain and expand our infrastructure-as-code, ensuring scalability and stability. Take full ownership of new feature development from concept to deployment. Collaboration Delivery Work closely with fellow developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes. Contribute to frontend development and crucial architecture decisions. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate into critical incidents. Workflow Operations Be a strong advocate of DevOps principles, directly addressing the daily operational needs of our customers. Own shoots end to end —except here, you’ll own projects end to end, guiding timelines and deliverables with stakeholders and engineers. Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure system health and maximum uptime. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and programming trends to keep Dizplai's stack bleeding-edge. About You Applicants must either hold British citizenship or possess indefinite rights to work in the UK. Considerable Java experience, preferably 5 years, including deep knowledge of Spring Boot. Proven ability to lead development on complex projects, guiding timelines and deliverables. Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform). Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases. Strong analytical, programming, and sharp editorial instincts —applied to problem-solving and system design. Understanding or keen interest in broadcast and streaming technologies.
