OOH Veterinary Surgeon - Northampton Hospital
Would you like to do ECC work but not work the long, consecutive traditional 7 shifts in a row pattern? Our current three OOH vets only work a maximum 4 shifts in a row, and have all been with us on the OOH team for 5 years or more each. They love working with us, some why not come and see why they stay?
Shift pattern (6.45pm-8.15am)
Week 1 - Mon-Thurs
Week 2 - Fri- Sun
Week 3 and 4 - no routine shifts. Holiday cover OOH shifts can be arranged, or day shifts if required.
We are happy to offer an annualised hours contract to include holiday cover if desired, and are open to chatting about how you can fit into our team.
We have been open for 17 years and moved to our new hospital in 2022 and has three theatres, a large colleague area, a quiet room, four wards with CASCO heated kennels, 10 consulting rooms, fully equipped kitchen with air fryer and cooker, and amazing coffee machine!
We are an RCVS accredited hospital, with new SONOS ultrasound machine, endoscopy, large in house laboratory, oxygen kennels and are able to provide an advanced level of emergency and critical care.
We have Advanced Practitioners and Certificate holders in ECC, medicine and General Practice, and are proud to have a large, experienced nursing team. Patients stay with us once here, we don't transfer back to their day practice in the morning, enabling a high standard of care and treatment.
Key points:
* Working alongside RVN and VCA all night
* Covering OOH for 9 vets4pets clinics and 3 independent clinics
* Average 4 in patients per shift
* 70% dogs, 30% cats and the odd rabbit/ small furry
* Fabulous colleague facilities and working environment
* Bedroom on site and rest allowed each shift
* Happy to fund certificate/ or 5 days paid CPD with no financial limit
