Room Manager (Toddlers) – Bingham at Cherubs Nurseries
As Room Manager you will drive the success of your room or unit, oversee daily operations and inspire your team to deliver a robust curriculum that equips children with essential skills. You balance the needs of children, parents, the business and your team to excel in early‑years excellence, while also taking on a designated role within the nursery.

What You’ll Be Doing – Child‑Centric
* Embed and follow Cherubs Nurseries age‑appropriate routines for every child and activity.
* Oversee the bi‑weekly planning cycle, ensuring it meets standards and reflects children’s interests.
* Complete the Nursery App, child profiles, parent communication and daily record keeping.
* Promote high standards of child presentation and personal hygiene.
* Maintain room presentation, displays and cleanliness.
* Oversee snack and mealtimes, following the Food Policy and Dietary Requirement Policy.
* Maintain a robust Key Person System and manage transitions between key persons and rooms.
Communicate with Purpose
* Allocate daily and weekly jobs to team members with the right experience.
* Lead daily handovers as the positive point of contact for parents and families.
* Meet monthly with the Head of Nursery to align on action plans and objectives.
* Keep Educators updated on nursery and business changes and answer questions thoroughly.
Play to Win
* Undertake a Designated Role within the nursery to the highest standard.
* Support planning of nursery events such as Summer Fair, Pre‑School Graduation and Fairy Night.
* Take responsibility for all room checks, forms and assessments, ensuring timely completion.
* Understand and share Cherubs Nurseries policies and procedures with your team.
Seek out Solutions
* Deal with parent feedback, involving the Head of Nursery when necessary.
* Administer First Aid (including medication) properly and record‑keep compliance.
* Identify and support children with SEND or EAL, working with relevant staff and parents.
* Oversee the All About Me and Settling In processes for new children.
Look out for Each Other
* Onboard new Educators, welcoming them and upskilling to Cherubs standards.
* Advocate for your team by sharing positive feedback at briefings and training events.
* Prepare your team for audits, mock and live Ofsted inspections, fostering learning and improvement.
