Smartsignz is a fast-growing visual branding company specialising in signage, vehicle livery, and branded workwear. We help businesses stand out through professional, high-impact design and installation services across South Wales and beyond. From one-off projects to large-scale fleet and signage rollouts, our work transforms how companies are seen.
We're now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth by building relationships, securing higher-value contracts, and positioning Smartsignz as the go-to partner for branding solutions.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will:
* Identify and target new business opportunities across key sectors (construction, transport, local authorities, hospitality, retail, etc.).
* Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (fleet managers, marketing teams, procurement officers).
* Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching through to closing and account management.
* Develop tailored proposals and upsell packages (e.g. signage + fleet livery + branded workwear).
* Represent Smartsignz at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.
* Work closely with the production and design teams to deliver projects on time and to spec.
* Provide regular sales forecasts and progress reports to management.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in signage, print, marketing, or construction-related industries).
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
* Confidence in identifying opportunities and closing higher-value deals.
* Knowledge of the local business landscape in South Wales (advantageous).
* Full UK driving licence (client visits required).
