About the Role
Reporting to the Fair Director, the Senior Fair Manager plays a key management role responsible for supporting the effective delivery of the fair from planning through to delivery to review.
With leadership from the Fair Director, the Senior Fair Manager holds responsibility for specific activity, collaborating with key colleagues to ensure the fair meets the expectations of stakeholders internally and externally whilst working to achieve key performance goals (KPIs) including income targets.
The Senior Fair Manager is a Project Lead for Collect, jointly representing the fair within Project Leads and staff meetings and team working across Crafts Council. 3 Supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Project Leads are responsible for delivering the workload of their specific area. They develop, articulate, monitor and review the strategy for their area of expertise. Project Leads are highly organised, self-motivated, nurturing and excellent communicators. Using their leadership and management experience, Project Leads guide and motivate staff or freelancers within their team; across multiple teams or key project streams. Working with Directors, they ensure departmental or project success.
While accountability for delivering the fair, achieving KPIs, and meeting income targets rests with the Fair Director, the Senior Fair Manager role supports these areas and holds responsibility for specific aspects of them, as outlined below.
This is a fixed-term parental leave cover role, with the opportunity for a short handover period before the substantive postholder begins parental leave.

* Work collaboratively with Head of Operations to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of the fair at Somerset House.
* Line-manage the Fair Officer and determine where their work is most needed to support team members.
* Manage the Design Campaign Agency, collaborating with the Fair Director and Marketing and Partnerships Consultant to ensure agency deliverables are met to a high standard and within the required timeframe.
* Support the Fair Director in securing revenue across all income streams to achieve financial targets, ensure expected and achieved income are recorded in Salesforce, and forecasted expenses are entered into the budget.
* Work closely with Marketing and Partnerships Consultant to ensure appropriate and considered communications with Collect stakeholders.
