Job Description
AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms offering unparalleled opportunities for talented individuals in search of a rewarding career. We provide more than just a job — we offer an opportunity to make a difference and shape the world for future generations and the environment.
Our UK Environment Practice is a vibrant network of approximately 600 people providing world-class consultancy and advisory services. We focus on outcomes for our clients, addressing challenges like climate change, social inclusion, and rapid urbanisation. Our work influences client decisions, project delivery, and environmental outcomes. We value collaboration as our core strength. We are seeking an individual with practical experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and management to join our Glasgow team. Key clients include Transport Scotland, Scottish Water, energy companies, and local authorities.
This role offers excellent career development for an experienced candidate eager to advance in a dynamic industry. You will collaborate with technical specialists, lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), work closely with clients, develop new business, and mentor team members.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an environmental or related discipline and a comprehensive understanding of EIA technical requirements. We support ongoing professional growth through training, development activities, and mentoring to help you maximize your talents.
Responsibilities:
* Lead coordination and delivery of environmental projects, including EIAs, options appraisals, and environmental management.
* Manage a team of environmental professionals, promote high standards, influence project development, and ensure positive environmental outcomes.
* Compile, edit, and produce clear reports from diverse sources, deliver work to high standards, and review others’ work on time and within budget.
* Manage client relationships professionally, support bid preparation, and develop new business opportunities.
* Engage in Continued Professional Development (CPD) per professional institute requirements.
Requirements:
* Degree or Master’s in environmental or science discipline; Chartership mandatory.
* Significant post-graduate experience, preferably in consultancy, with major infrastructure projects experience.
* Deep knowledge of the EIA process and technical environmental expertise.
* Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams, strong report writing, presentation, and review skills.
* Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, communicate effectively, and adapt to new challenges and locations.
