Role Overview
Managing the MWE project and associated delivery team across multiple locations. The Senior Project Manager will be expected to ensure the cost‑effective and timely delivery of all contractual obligations and service provisions. Good project and people management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the P&L on the MWE works and lead operational activities to maintain and improve VFM for both QinetiQ and EMCOR UK.
* Develop strong relationships with customer staff and representatives applying Key Account Management principles.
* Lead and inspire delivery teams towards cost‑effective contractual delivery to meet stakeholder expectations.
* Conduct joint site inspections and audits, ensuring actions are disseminated and closed out in agreed timeframes.
* Engage in tender activities with supply chain and partners, developing cost‑effective solutions.
* Recruit, develop, motivate and retain qualified and experienced teams through appropriate HR strategies.
* Develop mobilisation, transition and operational plans to meet commercial and operational deliverables on time.
* Produce and implement project programmes for the MWE works.
* Lead lessons‑learned reviews and progress meetings with the client and stakeholders.
* Ensure all operational activities comply with standard EMCOR policies and procedures, including: Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment; Financial Reporting; Commercial and legislative; HR and Employee Welfare; EMCOR Standards of Conduct and Code of Ethics.
* Develop an organisational culture that reflects the EMCOR Brand and core values, fostering a positive and continuous improvement environment.
* Promote the image of EMCOR and the wider EMCOR Group, maintaining good relationships with clients, suppliers and external parties.
Essential Experience
* Significant project management experience within FM, M&E, construction, or engineering, including high‑value and complex projects.
* Thorough understanding and evidence of implementing H&S, CDM guidelines, RIBA framework, design liability, tender process, supply chain selection and control.
* Demonstrable experience of project financial management and commercial acumen.
* Proven transformational leadership and management of multi‑disciplinary teams, focusing on continuous improvement and best practices.
* IT competence with project scheduling, programming and technical software (Microsoft Projects, PowerBI, Visio; desirable: Simpro, Matterport, Revit, BIM).
* Experience dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
* Excellent written and verbal reasoning skills at all levels.
Minimum Education/Training
* Recognised qualification in Project Management: Prince2, APM, PMP certification.
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 4 or higher in a relevant FM, Construction or Engineering discipline.
* IOSH certification.
Desirable (must be valid and in‑date)
* Bachelor’s degree in project or business management or related area.
* Master of Business Administration (MBA).
* NEBOSH certification.
* Citb SMSTS certification.
* CSCS Black Card holder.
* CMI Level 5 in Management & Leadership.
* Training in CDM2015 and Building Safety Act regulations.
