Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and compassionate EAL Behaviour Mentor to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about inclusion, behaviour support, and helping students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) thrive in a secondary school environment.
The Role:
As an EAL Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, engagement, and language development. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with EAL and behavioural needs
2. Support students in managing behaviour and emotional regulation
3. Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum by supporting language development
4. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
5. Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral leads
6. Act as a positive role model within the school environment
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience preferred)
8. Experience supporting students with EAL and/or challenging behaviour
9. A calm, patient, and resilient approach
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. A genuine passion for supporting young people
12. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
