VIQU have partnered with an organisation seeking a Data Cabling Engineer to support telecoms installations across hospital sites in Birmingham. This Data Cabling Engineer role offers a mix of BAU and project work, ideal for a hands-on individual looking to grow within a stable environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Terminate data outlets and patch panels to a high industry standard
* Test structured cabling systems using a Fluke DTX 5000 tester
* Accurately document installation activities and test results
* Install and configure wireless access points across hospital sites
* Support fibre cabling projects and gain exposure to additional technologies
* Work collaboratively on-site (no lone working)
* Adhere to CSCS/ESC regulations and strict health & safety standards
Key Requirements
* Valid CSCS or ESC card (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in data cabling or telecoms
* Proven experience in terminating, installing, and testing structured cabling systems
* Eligible for DBS clearance (processed by employer)
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Birmingham sites
* Based in or able to commute to Birmingham
* Reliable, proactive, and trustworthy approach to work
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
