Vincent Wildlife Trust, a specialist mammal research and conservation charity working on threatened mammals, is offering an opportunity for someone experienced in working both with volunteers and with local community groups and stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a combination of these talents who, during this period of maternity cover, can maintain the momentum created by our present Volunteering and Community Engagement Officer.
Your primary purpose will be to develop and coordinate our volunteer programme, building on existing success and undertake effective communication activities to recruit, train and support VWT's volunteers. This post is part time (30 hours per week) maternity cover, ideally starting the week commencing 2 February 2026 for up to 13 months. To meet the needs of the post, the role will be split between VWT's Bronsil Office in Ledbury, Herefordshire, and a Home Office.
Vincent Wildlife Trust has been at the forefront of wildlife conservation for more than 45 years. Our work is focused on British and Irish mammals and is currently centred on the rarer bats and a small number of carnivores, notably members of the weasel family (the mustelids).
