About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Your responsibilities include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning, always prioritizing Resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with kitchen experience, or those willing to obtain an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; you should be able to recognize signs of abuse or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff must undertake safeguarding training and related courses.
