Pay: £12.73 per hour
Reporting to: Contracts Manager & Assistant Site Manager
Overview
An excitingopportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our established cleaning team based at Waverley Market in Edinburgh.
The successfulcandidate will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the onsite cleaning team, ensuring thehighest of cleaning standards are adhered to at all times.You will be required to carry out a range ofcleaning tasks, safely and professionally, to a high standard. This is a hands on leadership role, requiring strong organisational skills, the ability to demonstrate good attention to detail, be able to communicate on alllevels and provide flexibility to support the team, as and whenrequired.
A background in facilities or cleaning, with supervisory experience, is required for this role. This role requires working 40 hours per week as per the site rota. As shift times and days will vary (including 6am starts, 11pm finishes, and weekends), flexibility is essential to supporting the business needs.
Duties include:
* Supervise, support, and motivate the cleaning team to deliver consistently high standards across the centre.
* Act as a visible, proactive leader, setting the standards and leading by example.
* Carry out cleaning of designated areas, following site-specific instructions.
* Ensure compliance with all health& safety and COSHH requirements.
* Be a visible point of contact in the centre - respond to customer requests promptlyand courteously, maintaining excellent customer service at all times.
* Manage staff welfare checks, including support, absence management, and wellbeing.
* Monitor cleaning equipment and stock levels, reporting any issues to the management team.
* Carry out regular inspections of the centre, making sure any issues are reported and high standards are always maintained.
* Work closely with management and be flexible in supporting any additional tasks that help keep the centre running smoothly.
* Take responsibility for ensuring all mandatory e‑learning is completed.
Requirements
* Previous supervisory or team-leading experience within cleaning or facilities services
* Customer service experience and confidence to handleconflict in a correct manner
* Flexible to meet the job requirements
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Smart appearance and be well-groomed
* Reliable and punctual
* High level of enthusiasm and passion
* Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
* Comfortable using digital systems such as Timegate, Zoho, and OMNI
