This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of digital architecture and platform design across a high-performance sports environment. As part of a newly structured platform team within the wider digital transformation programme, the focus will be on delivering innovative cloud-first solutions, enabling scalable, robust, and data-driven applications to support coaches, analysts, and decision-makers. With high investment in cloud infrastructure, product modernisation, and cross-functional delivery, this role will lead architecture practices within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, product owners, and enterprise architects – ensuring systems are well-governed, performant, and future-ready. Requirements To be considered, you'll bring: Experience in Solution Architecture or comparable technical leadership roles From a Software Development background Extensive experience with GCP Strong knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and data pipelines Hands-on background in mobile or web platform design Familiarity with Agile methods (Scrum preferred) Strong communication skills Core Responsibilities Lead end-to-end solution architecture design for mobile/web platforms and data-driven tools. Support elite performance workflows with reliable, scalable, and secure application frameworks. Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions, particularly using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align technical vision with business goals. Enable consistent architecture assurance across both onshore and offshore teams. Contribute to evolving platform standards and technical roadmaps in line with strategic goals. Champion Agile delivery principles across a high-performance sports technology setting.
