Pay: £95–£105 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a qualified BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact? Join Connex Education and support hearing-impaired and sensory support to pupils at a welcoming school in the Bolton area. Experience in a school setting is essential.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring all pupils can access learning in a supportive, inclusive environment. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored communication support and help thrive both academically and socially.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting pupils with hearing impairments using British Sign Language
* Working 1:1 or with small groups to aid understanding and participation
* Adapting classroom communication to meet individual needs
* Promoting inclusion and engagement across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, and older year groups
* Supporting teachers in delivering accessible and engaging lessons
Assignment Details
* Full-time and part-time roles available from April 2026

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
* BSL Level 2 qualification (essential) – No Makaton
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
* DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

* Confident in using BSL to support communication and learning
* Patient, empathetic, and inclusive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Reliable, adaptable, and professional
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
