We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Bid Specialist Lead to join our Solution Sales team. The successful candidate will drive through opportunities and propositions in this key vertical. Primarily the role will support: The creation of winning bid proposals and RFQ’s Commercial development with key vendors to support our propositions Supporting the Partner and Partnership Managers with a timely creation of coherent and compelling proposals. You will work with a large number of existing and new customers, the role will be a pivotal part of our growth and success. You will work closely with the Sales team, Pre-sales and Professional services teams and our chosen vendors/partners to own and create proposals to a high standard. You will draft, edit and proof-read bids, owning commercial documents and fronting relationship with key partners to ensure that the company and our customer receive the very best proposals available from them. To be targeted on increasing our success rate in solutions propositions across the business and will be responsible for the delivery of a profit target. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of qualified opportunities that meet certain criteria and once these have been assigned to work with both internal and external stakeholders to create a winning proposals. To be responsible for; Working with internal pre-sales, technical and purchasing departments to create proposals with commercial and technical coverage. Communication and co-ordination with Sales teams relating to Pre-Sales support (resourcing) on Sales opportunities. Communication and co-ordination with third parties and partners relating to Pre-Sales support on Sales opportunities. Build relationships and engage with vendors to secure support and content required in the sales cycle for commercial and presentation purposes. Create the final proposition to customers, ensuring consistency and using company branding To work with the Partner and Partnership Managers to create a winning bid, by positioning solutions and articulating their value based upon the customer’s strategy and direction Objectively appraising tender submissions, adding and editing information as necessary in order to structure effective responses. Act as gatekeeper for bid/no bid qualification, and providing a friendly challenge to commercial strategy Ensuring the Partner and Partnership Managers are supported ahead of any meetings for negotiated procurement processes. Work with Head of Bids and Tenders and Vice President of Sales and Partnerships - UK to develop new propositions and service requirements based on customer interaction. Measures of Performance: Maintain a high “bid to win” ratio Customer satisfaction – both internal and external stakeholders High accuracy in written and commercial response Solution sales KPIs achieved when responding to support requests for Sales opportunities. Person Specification: Essential Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Desired Qualifications: Business Studies IT Essential Experience: Proven track record of providing high level administrative support Use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word etc.) Experience providing accurate forecasting using CRM Strong attention to detail Extremely organised and efficient: Able to generate significant output with minimal wasted effort through an organised approach to work. Desired Experience: Have outstanding attention to detail and commercial knowledge Have knowledge to articulate a solution to multiple stakeholders Experience of working on multiple opportunities at the same time, from qualification to proposal submission.
