Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to offer both full-time and part-time opportunities for compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of welcoming primary schools in Tameside. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in inclusive, nurturing environments.
About the Role:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs
* Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning activities
* Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment
* Offer personal care support where required, in line with individual needs
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
* Build strong, trusting relationships to support pupil confidence and engagement
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND settings
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with diverse needs
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
* A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
