About the Role
We are partnering with a PE-backed renewables business undergoing a critical period of preparation ahead of a planned exi. The organisation has experienced rapid growth, expanding through both organic development and strategic partnerships, and now requires an experienced Interim Financial Consultant to provide specialist support across exit readiness, financial structuring, and investor-facing deliverables.
This role will work closely with the CFO, CEO, and private equity stakeholders to ensure the business is fully prepared for due diligence, valuation discussions, and buyer engagement. It suits a commercially minded finance professional with strong transaction experience and a deep understanding of the exit lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial readiness activities in preparation for investor due diligence
* Support the creation and refinement of financial models, valuation analysis, and exit scenarios
* Prepare high-quality financial information packs, data room uploads, and supporting documentation
* Assist the CFO with commercial insights, KPIs, cohort analysis, and performance narratives
* Review and strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting hygiene ahead of diligence
* Coordinate with external advisors (corporate finance, legal, tax, and PE stakeholders)
* Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within the financial story and exit positioning
* Provide ad-hoc analytical support related to deal structuring and buyer queries
Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong financial modelling and transaction experience
* Proven background in exit readiness, due diligence, or corporate finance
* Experience working with PE-backed businesses essential
* Exposure to renewables, energy transition, or infrastructure sectors advantageous
* Exceptional analytical ability with the confidence to interact with investors and advisors
* Available to start immediately and comfortable in a hybrid/consultative role
