Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary and include supporting the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care with the patient, in line with instructions and training received, while promoting safe patient care. This role offers opportunities for career development and ongoing skills enhancement.
Responsibilities
* Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care.
* Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
* Work within a busy environment, following policy and procedures and, where appropriate, unsupervised.
Qualifications
* NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
* Experience within a healthcare assistant role, ideally within a hospital, community or prison environment.
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good IT skills and IT literacy.
* Ability to work within a busy environment and to adapt to a 24-hour service.

Salary and Hours
* Salary: up to £32,134 per annum, depending on experience, full-time.
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time. Service runs 24 hours, with shifts including days and nights across 7 days on a rota basis.
