We are currently looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac Wellington Sand and Gravel Quarry, near Hereford. This role is accessible from Worcester, Leominster, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ledbury, Leominster, Ludlow, Malvern, Craven Arms, Kidderminster, Tenbury Wells, Bewdley, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Cinderford and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Section Manager, the Quarry Supervisor will assist in the management of a busy quarry. As Quarry Supervisor you will also be responsible for:
1. Operating mobile crushing and screening plants as well as mobile plant
2. Administrative and compliance duties
3. Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel and similar platforms)
4. Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
5. Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so
6. Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across both quarry sites
7. Occasional weekend working that will be on a rota basis
8. Work with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running to its expected capacity and in line with the manufacturing and production programme
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Quarry Supervisor will already possess experience and knowledge of quarrying operations, Asphalt plant, or similar heavy industry environment and will ideally be 8.1c appointed (will consider 8.1d).
Suitable candidates for the role of Quarry Supervisor will also:
9. Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining processing plant including excavators, front end loaders and dump-trucks (experience preferred not essential)
10. Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining fixed and mobile crushing & screening plants (preferred not essential)
11. Understanding Quarry Regulations enabling a Regulation 8.1(c) appointment
12. Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
13. Be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
14. Be able to work both independently and as part of a team, providing the motivation to yourself as well as your team to achieve the site production requirements
15. Be IT literate (ability to use required computer system)
16. Be flexible in their working approach
17. Inspire yourself and your team to progress on both a personal and professional level
