A well-established secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a diligent and proactive Finance Officer to join its central operations team from January 2026. The Role You’ll support the school’s finance function through accurate record-keeping, processing payments and assisting with budgeting and reporting. You’ll work closely with the School Business Manager to ensure financial compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Managing purchase orders, invoices and payments Monitoring departmental budgets and spending Reconciling accounts and preparing monthly reports Assisting with payroll and petty cash Supporting audits and financial returns as required About You Experience in a finance or accounts role (school experience desirable) Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency with finance software (e.g. PS Financials, Sage, or SIMS FMS) Ability to work independently and as part of a small team The School This Good -rated school has a reputation for professionalism and a friendly working environment.
