The Governing Body wish to appoint a Temporary Teacher to work at Treorchy Primary School for two terms, to complement our existing team.
Treorchy Primary School recognises its place in the heart of its community. We develop pupils who have a love for learning, their families and their community.

The children, staff and Governors at Treorchy Primary School seek to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated Foundation Learning teacher to join our school community. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate a proven excellent teaching ability and be committed to providing a rich and creative curriculum that meets the learning needs of all of our learners, enabling all to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will:
• be passionate about education with the commitment and drive to enable all learners to succeed in their learning, fostering excellent relationships and understanding pupils’ needs
• be an excellent classroom practitioner and have a clear understanding of effective teaching and learning to inspire, nurture and guide pupils of all abilities
• have very high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and have the commitment, enthusiasm and drive to raise standards
• have an up-to-date knowledge of the Curriculum Reform for Wales and be proactive in their own professional learning, including working collaboratively with colleagues as part of professional development to continually develop practice forward
•be able to provide high quality learning experiences through a range of innovative approaches in order to provide the best possible curriculum offer to learners.
• have the ability to fully embed assessment for learning strategies, effectively assess, set targets and use data effectively in order to promote learning
• have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of school life
• ability to establish excellent relationships and work in partnership within a team, including Governors, parents and other stakeholders
Candidates who are shortlisted will be observed teaching at Treorchy Primary School on Wednesday 1st July.
Interview Date: Wednesday 8th July.
