As a Teacher of Vocational Studies in Berkhamsted, you will teach across a small class size (2-8 pupils) and support learners in achieving qualifications such as BTEC, ASDAN and NCFE. You will lead by example and deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire progress, independence, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lessons in vocational studies to pupils across a wide age and ability range.
* Plan, prepare and assess work in line with school policies, ensuring strong academic and pastoral outcomes.
* Maintain excellent standards of behaviour in the classroom through consistent implementation of policy.
* Create a welcoming, stimulating learning environment.
* Develop schemes of learning and contribute to the strategic growth of vocational studies.
* Act as an effective Form Tutor, supporting the pastoral needs of your group and maintaining strong communication with parents.
* Work closely with colleagues, leadership and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
* Manage day-to-day challenges with creativity, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.
