Overview
Liability Claims Technician role based in the UK, hybrid working. We have a fantastic opportunity for Claims Technicians working on a hybrid basis. Simply Business is an online broker with more than 20 insurers on their panel. The dedicated team handle property damage, employer’s liability, public liability, personal accident, legal expenses and home emergency claims, handling claims up to £10,000 at the desk. You will manage Employers Liability, Public Liability, and property damage claims, making informed decisions and taking claims through to settlement.
Job Location: UK, hybrid working • Job Type: Permanent • Remuneration: Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications.
This role is part of Simply Business liability team and is ideal for individuals with previous liability claims handling experience or an insurance background.
Responsibilities
* Identify fraudulent claims and evaluate evidence.
* Handle correspondence and calls, issue client updates, and maintain diary processes.
* Manage Employers Liability, Public Liability, and property damage claims, making informed decisions and taking claims through to settlement.
* Provide empathy, understanding, and strong communication in all interactions.
* Work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of tasks and problem-solving.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in managing claims across multiple liability areas; previous claims environment experience is essential.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and other stakeholders; ability to explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements.
* Commitment to professional development toward the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters Cert CILA.
