What we’re looking for

We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Franchise Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we connect with customers at both a national and local level. You’ll work closely with franchise partners to build and deliver impactful marketing campaigns, that drive transactions and grow brand awareness across the UK. It’s a dynamic, hands‑on role, with plenty of creativity and strategic planning. You’ll collaborate across teams, manage multi‑channel campaigns (digital, OOH and in‑shop), and build strong relationships with franchisees to ensure brand consistency while embracing local opportunities. Key responsibilities

* Create and deliver shops & local marketing strategies and plans for the UK Franchise estate, ensuring the Pret brand is confident, creative, disruptive, and joyful, ensuring you are driving both commercial and brand priorities forward, demonstrating clear results
* Expand our tactical marketing toolkit; enabling partners to quickly and skillfully respond to competitor openings and mitigate their impact
* Manage Franchise Partner budgets and report monthly on spend, accruals and forecast
* Understand individual shop profitability for partners, design impactful local strategies and initiatives to grow incremental sales and shop ebitda
* Build and nurture strong cross‑functional relationships with partners, Operations, and Finance to deliver clear, data‑driven ROI reporting across all marketing activity.
* Manage creation and implementation of all Franchise partner processes, toolkits and guidelines
* Manage briefs to the internal creative team and work with third party partners to ensure projects are delivered on brand, on time and on budget
* Always look to test, innovate and improve materials and messaging used to communicate with customers in our shops, implementing clear KPIs for partner activations and sharing learnings with the business
* Communicate national plans to Franchise Partners and secure their support, while driving and supporting local marketing plans and initiatives, and ensure the internal Franchise team updated on activations and challenges
* Activate marketing campaigns and tactics across a multitude of channels that further develop Pret’s brand in the UK, delivering increased awareness and engagement, and significant transaction growth
* Manage and develop the Franchise Marketing Coordinator
* Some travel will be required in the UK and Ireland


Experience and Skills required

* Experience of working within a multi‑location, UK or global franchise model
* Experience of delivering on‑ and off‑line marketing campaigns and projects across all channels
* Good understanding of full marketing mix – online and offline, covering both B2B and B2C
* Superb communication skills, project management skills, budget management and attention to detail
* Boundless levels of energy and passion with a clear can‑do attitude
* Uses initiative and critical thinking to independently shape and implement effective processes and requirements.
* Knowledge and experience of building engaging campaigns that truly gain traction with customers and deliver the required ROI
* Experience in campaign planning activity across a multitude of channels to drive sales
* Well versed in getting the best out of internal and external marketing support, including stakeholders
* Able to set a clear plan whilst also being a ‘doer’ and in particular ensuring operational excellence
* Able to develop and implement clear marketing plan whilst ensuring operational excellence
* Solid experience of retail branding and marketing implementation

The interview journey

Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30‑minute conversation with our recruitment team and the Hiring Manager for the role so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one‑hour, in‑person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.

Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.


Before you apply

This role is based at Pret’s Support Centre in London Victoria, where we work in a hybrid way - typically three days a week in the office.

This role will require regular travel across our franchise sites; we’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the ground and engaging directly with teams.
