Apprentice Business Administrator – 2026 – Bristol

Our apprenticeship programme is a great opportunity to study towards a college or university qualification while putting everything you have learnt into action through on-the-job training. You will have the support of mentors who care about your growth, and you will establish a career where you will develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help you succeed and make a lasting impact.

Working as part of our building services FM (Facilities Management) team, on our defence portfolio, we are now looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Business Administrator to join our 2026 development programme and help us shape the future in Bristol Schools.

.DBS Check: Due to the nature of the facilities, successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS.

What you'll do:

1. Data input, general administrative tasks, telephone calls, greeting visitors, room bookings, producing template letters, processing of incoming correspondence, scanning and photocopying.
2. Document control to ensure that all standard forms and documentation is up to date
3. Use of electronic systems, data input and maintaining various IT and digital systems and databases
4. Attend professional development training courses to improve and maintain best working practices
5. Opportunity to attend Skanska related health, safety and wellbeing team briefings
6. Attend and contribute to team meetings
7. Liaise with wider Skanska, our client and the customer

What you'll bring to the role:

8. You will ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE at Grades 4-9 or their equivalent) for us to successfully enrol you on the apprenticeship however please feel free to apply if you do not meet this criteria.

11. Inquisitive and driven by a passion to grow and innovate
12. You must have lived in the UK in the last 3 years and have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for an apprenticeship. We are not able to proceed with applications that require visa sponsorship.
13. We are not able to proceed with applications from candidates that have already achieved a degree in a similar discipline.

What qualification will you be studying towards?

Through day release to college or on site, we will provide support and funding to achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.
