Responsibilities
* Maintain excellent standards of customer service at all times, with particular attention to fire safety.
* Ensure the safe running of the hotel overnight, handling reservations and responding to enquiries.
* Complete hourly security checks and be responsible for evacuation in case of emergency.
* Maintain the duty manager logbook and report all accidents and incidents accurately.
* Adhere to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, customs & excise regulations, food hygiene, and health & fire safety.
Qualifications
* Professional and well presented; good conversational English and an excellent customer service focus.
* Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
* Self‑motivated with a high level of enthusiasm.
* Remains calm and confident under pressure and in emergency or conflict situations.
* Fixed place of residence reasonably close to the pub and proof of right to work in the UK.
* Must be over 18 years of age.
