Role Overview
Horizon Care and Education offers an Assistant Headteacher role at Brewood School in Deal, Kent. The school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11‑18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Brewood has two learning sites: the Mill Hill site for KS4 and KS5, and the London Road site for KS3.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Head Teacher to manage the day‑to‑day running of the school.
* Implement effective policies and procedures that support high educational standards.
* Support the senior management team in achieving the highest possible standards and outcomes for pupils.
Minimum Requirements
* QTS or QTLS qualification.
* Similar senior leadership team experience in an SEN environment.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of OFSTED and the SEN education sector, and desired outcomes.
* Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection qualifications, knowledge and experience.
