Academy finance manager

Overview

My client is an Academy based in Sittingbourne and they are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support the strategic and operational financial management of the Academy.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Headteacher, the role centres on managing the income and expenditure of the school, providing insightful reporting and analysis for the Senior Leadership Team. Key to success will be setting and controlling budgets, forecasting and management accounts.

Qualifications

• Experienced finance candidates, either formally qualified or actively studying a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent) with previous experience of operating at a similar level within schools or the educational sector.
• Evidence of managing and controlling budgets, IT and reporting experience.
• Previous experience within the education sector is essential.
