Childcare Solicitor – 3+ Years’ PQE, Leicestershire, £40,000–£50,000 DOE
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will take the lead in managing a busy and varied caseload while also providing supervision and support to junior members of the team, including Solicitors, Paralegals, Caseworkers, and Trainees. This position offers the chance to play a key role within a respected firm that values expertise, collaboration, and professional development.
The Role:
• Provide expert legal advice to parents, guardians, and CAFCASS-appointed Children’s Guardians.
• Manage all aspects of childcare law matters, including legal aid and CCMS procedures, emergency protection and police protection orders, child protection case reviews, and other public law children matters.
• Offer guidance and expertise to both team members and external clients.
The Candidate:
• Minimum 3 years’ PQE in a dedicated Childcare Solicitor role.
• Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong communication and client care skills (written and verbal).
• Confident in training and mentoring colleagues to promote best practice.
