An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join an award-winning exhibitions team, working on a portfolio of leading UK Food & Drink Shows.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Pitching and closing deals with senior-level executives via phone and face-to-face meetings
* Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline using tools like LinkedIn, Google, and industry news
* Managing and growing key accounts while re-engaging lapsed clients
* Writing tailored commercial proposals with clear timelines and pricing
* Contributing to strategic planning and achieving new business targets
* Collaborating with content and marketing teams to develop new commercial opportunities
* Attending national and international events to network and generate leads
* Maintaining accurate CRM records
* Supporting onsite at major UK food and drink exhibitions
What You’ll Need
* Proven B2B sales experience (exhibitions, events, or media preferred)
* Strong track record of managing high-value client relationships
* Commercial acumen and strategic thinking
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially with senior stakeholders
* A proactive, target-driven mindset with strong initiative
* Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
* Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed
