Equities middle office - application support analyst

Citi technology is searching for a dedicated middle office IT professional to join our Production Support team in Belfast. The Equities Middle Office application support team provides technical and business assistance across a suite of booking, reconciliation and settlement facing applications that help our front office facilitate business with Citi’s external client base. The team’s core responsibility is to ensure high availability of these applications for our business and clients.

We partner with business, operations and technology stakeholders to provide best‑in‑class support within the production environment, delivering quick issue resolutions, and driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements that help the business succeed. Successful execution of this role requires effective communication and a strong understanding of the audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous experience within an Application Support role
• Experience supporting applications hosted within a Unix environment
• Database SQL knowledge
• Good all‑round technical skills
• Experience with some programming languages and willingness to learn
• Adaptability and enjoyment of working in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to multitask and apply sharp problem‑solving skills
• Effective communication skills, building relationships and rapport easily
• Clear written and verbal communication, explaining technical issues in simple terms for non‑IT staff, adjusting appropriately for stakeholders
• Passion for learning and continuous development and improvement
• Statistical and analytical mindset with proactive ingenuity and creativity
• Attention to detail
• Team player
• Experience providing effective Change, Incident and Problem Management

Education

• Bachelor’s or University degree, or equivalent experience
