Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an ABI Specialist (Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Social Worker) for its client based in York.
This is an excellent opportunity to work autonomously, lead and deliver high-quality therapy within our York service, shape service development and make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals affected by brain injury.
About the Service
Our client’s York service is a specialist residential centre providing ongoing rehabilitation and care for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries.
They use evidence-based approaches to help people regain lost skills and achieve meaningful personal goals. You’ll be joining a passionate, multidisciplinary team in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Deliver autonomous SaLT services within a multidisciplinary team
2. Assess and manage communication and dysphagia needs
3. Collaborate with service users and their social networks to overcome barriers
4. Provide specialist assessments and develop rehabilitation plans
5. Deliver training to staff and families
6. Contribute to service innovation and development

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
16. HCPC registration
17. Dysphagia competencies achieved
18. Specialist knowledge of ABI-related SaLT interventions
19. Experience managing complex dysphagia in adult neurology
20. Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience with complex case management
