The role
The role of the Social Value Co-ordinator is to assist the regional team with the collation and recording of Social Value activities. The role also includes the review of tender documents and the summarising of Social Value requirements. Furthermore, the role involves assisting project teams in the understanding of the project specific Social Value targets and setting goals and outlining methodologies for the achievement of those targets.
Responsibilities
* Review of tender documents to gain an understanding of project social value requirements.
* Advising the bid team on the necessary allowances and methodologies that will be required to meet these targets, including presenting these elements at the TG2 launch meeting.
* Liaising with project teams at project launch to ensure understanding of social value targets and commitments.
* Assisting project teams in producing social value plans and methodologies for meeting these targets.
* Liaising with site teams to obtain information and data on the social value activities that take place during project delivery.
* Guiding the offices on how they can generate social value independently of the site teams.
* Recording all the regional social value data for both the projects and the offices.
* Liaising with external companies and charities to build relationships and seek out new methodologies for the delivery of social value initiatives.
Level of responsibility
Working independently, responsible for initiating and completing tasks and procedures, including where relevant responsibility for supervising or guiding others. The ability to gain, and where relevant apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding.
