Mere Court Hotel is a beautifully restored Edwardian country house set in landscaped gardens and woodland in the heart of Cheshire. We're known for delivering a personal and professional service for weddings, business events, and leisure guests alike.
The Role:
As Receptionist, you'll be the first and last point of contact for our guests. You'll play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring each guest's stay is seamless and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcoming guests on arrival and providing a professional check-in/check-out experience
* Handling guest queries efficiently and politely, in person, over the phone, and via email
* Taking reservations and processing payments using our hotel systems
* Liaising with all departments to ensure smooth guest service
* Assisting with administrative tasks as required
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer-facing role is preferred
* A confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and multi-task
* IT literacy – familiarity with Rezcontrol hotel booking systems is an advantage, but full training will be provided
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
