A Senior Site Supervisor is required to join a leading company within waste management and recycling, based at their site in Wednesbury. Dedicated to sustainable practices and innovative solutions, they are looking for a pro-active leader who will work alongside other key supervisors and managers, responsible for overseeing all the activities within Site Operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Site Supervisor include:
* Manage a team of approximately 25 operators.
* Monitor performance against targets and ensure all KPIs are met.
* Identify opportunities to improve and develop processes.
* Work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
* Carry out inductions and safety training regularly.
* Address any issues or grievances, collaborating with other management to resolve concerns.
* Manage staffing levels, timekeeping, and absences.
* Implement and introduce Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
* Liaise with the Commercial and Logistics departments to optimise workflow and maximise profitability.
* Lead daily site meetings to promote team development, flexibility, and training.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data reported by Site Operations associates.
* Promote a positive safety culture, including conducting safety discussions and challenging unsafe behaviours.
Ideally you will have the following skills & experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of Site Operations experience.
* Experience in the waste management or recycling.
* Proactive leadership style, respectful, and driven by results.
* Experience in managing, developing, and coaching people.
* Ability to respond well to pressure and think creatively.
* Team player and confident communicator.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
WAMITAB Level 4 or willingness to gain.
Salary & Benefits:
* Starting salary of £30-37k p/a plus performance-based bonus.
* 25 days' holiday plus statutory days.
* On-site parking.
* Working hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:15pm.
