An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the class teacher, year leader and SENDCO. The role will be varied and you will need to be adaptable and flexible.
Experience is preferable, nevertheless, we are a professional learning community and can support a new career journey.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
* Experience of working with children and families, possibly to include special educational needs.
* Ability to develop effective relationships with children and their parents/carers and other professionals.
* Ability to organise and plan time efficiently, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Capacity to deal with challenging situations and work under pressure.
* Able to make independent judgements and exercise initiative within agreed limits.
* Knowledge and awareness of factors which may impact a child's ability to access education.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to maintain accurate records and present information clearly and concisely using IT software.
Desirable
* Ability to see situations from a range of perspectives.
* Willingness to access further training.
* To work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to be a good listener who thinks on their feet.
* Team Teach Level 1 training qualification
