Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor to join a leading commercial law firm based in Belfast City Centre. This is a well established, forward thinking firm known for its strong presence across media, entertainment, corporate, real estate, and litigation sectors.
You’ll join a highly regarded plaintiff litigation team, managing a high quality caseload focused primarily on hearing loss (NIHL) claims. The firm offers a collaborative culture, career progression, and exposure to complex and meaningful work. They will also consider experienced Legal Executives or Fee Earners with relevant litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters – approximately 95% NIHL
* Progress files from instruction through to hearing, settlement, or conclusion
* Prepare legal documents, issue proceedings, and liaise with counsel and medical experts
* Provide strategic and practical legal advice to clients
* Attend hearings and consultations where required
* Ensure compliance with court rules and internal procedures
* Maintain client satisfaction through timely updates and strong communication
Essential Skills and Experience
* 1–3 years’ PQE in litigation, ideally with plaintiff personal injury experience
* Exposure to NIHL or industrial disease claims (desirable)
* Strong file management and litigation skills
* Excellent drafting and communication abilities
* Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* A confident team player with a client focused mindset
* Proficiency in case management systems
Alternative Backgrounds Considered
Applications are welcomed from experienced Legal Executives or Fee Earners with a proven track record of managing their own caseload in NIHL or similar personal injury litigation.
