Summary
We’re looking for 2 Programming Assistants to support the delivery and development of a programme of activities including our flagship events Summer of Play, Christmas and Easter Adventures. By doing so, you’ll help to create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits and help them understand more about our place.
Salary: £6,459 pro rata (FTE £25,837.50 per annum)
Contract/duration: Permanent
Hours/working pattern: 487.5 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
You will be working to support events and programming during our busiest times of year. We expect half the hours to be during the Summer (July and August) with the rest being made up throughout Christmas (November and December) and Easter (March and April). Working on a rota basis, an average day will be 7.5 hours. This role will include weekend and Bank holiday working and possibly some evenings.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Visitor Experience Officer. You’ll be a key part of the Visitor Experience team that deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors during our busiest times of year.
You’ll be one of two Programming Assistants who help support the delivery and development of a programme of activities including our flagship events Summer of Play, Christmas and Easter Adventures.
This role includes setting up areas for events and activities, engaging with visitors and gathering feedback, supervising Visitor Experience volunteers as well as ensuring we maintain a high level of presentation across our event areas. This role involves manual handling and being outdoors in all weather, as you will be setting up activities and equipment.
Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
