Intellectual Property Investigations Team
Overview
Newport City Council, supported by a three-year grant from National Trading Standards, is establishing a new Intellectual Property Investigations Team commencing 1 April 2026. This specialist team will lead civil, criminal and financial investigations into intellectual property crime across England and Wales.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a national enforcement team and make a real impact in protecting consumers and businesses. You'll be part of a forward-thinking council committed to innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
You will investigate complex criminal investigations into intellectual property breaches and deliver high-quality enforcement outcomes while working collaboratively with stakeholders across public and private sectors.
Travel across England and Wales and work flexibly, including occasional out‑of‑hours duties, is required.
