Role Overview
The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an experienced Construction tutor on a long‑term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful tutor will teach passionate and focused students the skills necessary to pursue a career in construction, helping them achieve excellent results whilst following and implementing the scheme of learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality construction lessons to students.
* Plan and assess lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Assess students using appropriate methods and provide constructive feedback.
* Encourage student engagement and support academic and personal development.
Qualifications
* Level 5 qualification or higher in construction, architecture or a related field (industry experience considered).
* Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA.
* GCSE Maths and English level 4 or above.
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Excellent understanding of current trends in construction.
* Experience teaching in further education is desirable.
