Job Summary
You will support a team to deliver person-centred, outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This includes (F2F & virtual) individual, group work, and peer support.
Main duties of the job
* Assist with triage, assessment, and delivery of interventions from Be U Swindon Hubs, education settings, and community venues.
* Work under line management of the SPA & Community Service Lead and clinical supervision of a qualified clinical service lead.
* Develop and implement therapeutic interventions, support service development through co-production, and work as part of a diverse clinical team.

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments considering educational attainment, emotional wellbeing, family dynamics, and social context.
* Develop short-term, evidence-based interventions utilizing behavioural, cognitive, psychodynamic, and systemic approaches.
* Deliver individual, group, and peer support interventions, including lone working when necessary.
* Maintain confidential case records, develop links with other agencies, and manage risk and safeguarding issues.
* Provide clinical supervision to a small team of counsellors.
Skills & Competencies
* Qualified mental health practitioner with supervisory experience in fast-paced environments.
* Experience working with children and young people, engaging families, and supporting mild to moderate risk behaviours.
* Strong therapeutic relationship skills, excellent communication, and team collaboration abilities.
Person Specification
Essential skills include interpersonal, communication, organisational, and IT skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to data protection policies. Desirable skills include leadership, pathway development, training delivery, and supervision experience.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registration with a recognized national body (HCPC, NMC, BACP, etc.).
* Post-qualification experience, including triage, assessment, and caseload management.
* Knowledge of CYP development, family dynamics, and evidence-based practices.
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to travel, flexible working, and an enhanced DBS check.
