We are now looking for a MHE Trainer to join our team in Crick NN6 7ED for Warrens BDC on a full-time and permanent basis.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 18:00-04:00.
Salary: £30,592 per annum + £2,000 night allowance.
Job Description
* Effectively lead the site Health & Safety culture as the top priority.
* Train all MHE staff to use the FMS system (Fleet Management System).
* Complete/support site inductions for MHE/Manual Handling.
* Support the completion of Risk Assessments (RA) / Safe Working Practices (SWP) with the designated personnel.
* Provide high-level technical skills training to support operations through various delivery methods.
* Work as part of a close team ensuring all training is completed and properly recorded.
* Develop a site skills matrix to facilitate all MHE training and ensure skill levels are satisfactory, with refresher training within specified timeframes.
* Manage the number of MHE operators to minimize skill fade and risk from inexperienced users.
* Ensure ongoing competence of MHE operators through refresher training, workplace assessments, and other training as needed.
* Assist in investigating on-site and MHE-related incidents/accidents.
* Proactively reduce risks from MHE operations and develop learning from experience briefings.
* Assist in creating Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments for MHE activities.
* Identify hazards and implement control measures to eliminate or reduce risks, training staff accordingly.
* Review safety audit GAP analyses with management to ensure completion.
* Liaise with operational management to cover training requirements across shifts.
* Participate as a member of the site MHE instructor team, ensuring training is completed and recorded.
* Contribute to the wider management team, offering suggestions to improve site safety.
* Compile data for KPI and monthly reports for management.
Qualifications
* ITSSAR Category 1 accredited instructor/examiner.
* High attention to detail.
* Team player capable of working independently.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Flexible approach to work and shifts for training coverage.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
