Job Advert: Plant Hire Manager - Construction Industry
Location: Biggin Hill Yard
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: DOE - Discussed at Interview.

We are a successful, family-run construction business with a turnover of £25 million, operating across the South East. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant Hire Manager to join our team based at our Biggin Hill yard.
This is a pivotal role with significant responsibility, offering the right candidate a long-term future within the company, including the potential to progress to a Director-level position.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of our internal plant fleet
Supervise and coordinate the internal plant fitting and delivery team
Work with the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
Manage daily plant deliveries and collections
Oversee PPE procurement, usage, and stock control.
Maintain and manage plant and equipment inventory
Handle plant purchasing as and when required
Be hands-on with plant operations when needed
Opportunity to up sell the business and bring in customers where possible. (External Plant Hire).
Requirements:
Proven experience in plant hire or equipment management within the construction sector - Min 5 Years
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Comfortable being hands-on and supporting operational tasks
Commercially aware and confident in supplier negotiation
