Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Flexible Part-Time Role
Salary: Up to £65,000 (Pro Rata)
Hours: 20–30 per week (Friday, Saturday + 1 flexible weekday)
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team at Vets for Pets Staines in a flexible part-time role.
If you’re confident in your clinical ability, enjoy a varied but largely routine caseload, and want to be part of a genuinely close-knit team that values both professionalism and people, this could be a great fit.
About Us
We’re a small but experienced and highly supportive team of seven, made up of:
1. 1 Veterinary Surgeon
2. 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses
3. 1 Student Nurse
4. 3 Receptionists (including our Practice Manager/JVP, who is also an RVN)

Our caseload is primarily routine consultations and preventative care, with the occasional more complex case to keep things varied and engaging.

10. Digital X-ray & dental X-ray
11. Dedicated dental suite & theatre
12. Ultrasound
13. Tonometry pen
14. Glass kennels
The Role
We’re looking for a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable working independently and managing sole charge when required.
This is a part-time role covering:
15. Fridays (9am–7pm)
16. Saturdays (9am–5pm)
17. One additional flexible weekday
Total: 20–30 hours per week
You’ll have the autonomy to work cases up appropriately, while being fully supported by a welcoming and experienced team.
About You
We’re ideally looking for a vet who:
18. Has solid experience in first-opinion practice
19. Is confident with routine consultations and procedures
20. Is comfortable with sole charge
21. Enjoys working both independently and as part of a close team
22. Values strong client relationships and continuity of care
23. Brings a calm, confident, and professional approach
