Job Description: As part of the Superintendent Fleet Maintenance (SFM) delivery team, manage and report financial forecasting, including financial risk, providing accurate and insightful commentary, challenge forecasts and provide variance analysis. Manage the Financial input to the Annual Budget Cycle (ABC) process, ensuring supporting data is accurate and relevant. Act as Delivery Manager for STSII and STSI cost control staff, providing coaching and development opportunities where appropriate. Manage the team to actively support audit and internal compliance, ensuring accruals, journals and option proposals have robust supporting evidence. Ensure efficiencies captured are promptly and adequately supported by auditable evidence. Work collaboratively with the Finance business partner (FBP), provide timely financial information for Business Cases/Project spend approvals. Provide prompt evaluation of proposals, returning feedback to Project Managers and monitoring project spend against approval levels. Hybrid and flexible working can be considered for this post but will need regular workplace attendance due to security constraints.
