About us
Parkgate Surgery is a 5-partner GP practice based in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, a market town and home to Edge Hill University. We operate across two sites and provide care for nearly 10,000 patients.
Our population includes a high proportion of frail and elderly patients. We have a dedicated Care Coordinator who is the first point of contact for all palliative care patients, ensuring well-coordinated, compassionate care.
We are a digitally forward-thinking practice, using a total triage model and cloud-based telephony to support modern access to General Practice. We recognise the pressures of general practice and actively prioritise staff wellbeing, holding regular Practice Meetings and working closely with our Patient Participation Group.
We are a training practice, hosting medical students from Edge Hill University and GP registrars, and are proud of our supportive learning environment. We are part of a successful PCN, making full use of and supporting ARRS roles.
We were rated Outstanding by the CQC at our last inspection and consistently achieve high QOF scores, supported by a successful weekly MDT meeting with local agencies.
