We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for two children with specific needs in our Early Years setting. We are looking for 27.5 hours of support in our EYFS 8.45am - 3.15pm with half an hour lunch break. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised support to the children, catering to their individual needs and learning style Utilise strategies such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and social stories to facilitate effective communication and learning Work closely with the children's teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to their development Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities that promote the child's progress Maintain detailed records of the child's progress and contribute to regular reviews and assessments Required Qualifications and Experience: Level 3 Early years Experience working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, preferably with some background in speech and language support Familiarity with the use of PECS and social stories Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the child, their family, and the wider school community A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs Desirable Qualities: A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to ensuring all children reach their full potential Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop engaging and effective learning strategies Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
